14.8.2016 – Dragons

I fell in love with these dragons. They graced one of the most amazing pubs right by the holiday flat. The George and the Dragon in Dartmouth, Devon (find it here). The dragons are amazing pieces of artwork but it really highlighted to me spending time in these restaurant how people can go out of their ways to go further for the people around them. The locals and serving staff were fantastic here. Making sure that the kids who’d obviously been in before were remembered by name, ketchup brought as standard, table service for drinks even though it wasn’t necessarily advertised. The mix of ages was also interesting to watch you could see young women learning from the slightly older barmen and servers about how to react to others and when to be invisible and when to be personable. It was a great thing to see.
